International Workshop on Polar Oxides: Lithium Niobate and Related Compounds
Save the Date!
May 11 - 13, 2022, Goslar, Germany.
The International Workshop on Polar Oxides: Lithium Niobate and Related Compounds (WPO-2022) will bring together a worldwide scientific audience for an exchange of ideas and the latest findings in the field of polar oxides with special focus on lithium niobate, lithium tantalate and its solid solutions. The workshop will present a balance of fundamental as well as application-inspired topics, with program topics spanning:
· Growth of polar crystals and synthesis of nanostructured solid solutions
· Preparation of domain structures
· Atomistic defect structures
· Electronic and atomic transport
· High-temperature properties and stability
· Acoustic loss
· Modelling
· Advanced (integrated) optics
· Sensor and actuator applications
The workshop facilitates the exchange of ideas between people with different backgrounds and fosters the development and professional growth of both young and experienced researchers alike.
We kindly invite you to participate in this workshop and to submit your short papers for oral or poster presentation by February 28, 2022.
